Italian and Foreign schools (up until Middle and High School)

School groups are accorded the right to purchase a scholastic ticket, which is a special reduced ticket for students. This ticket will be issued when a signed and sealed letter on School letterhead is provided by the School Headmaster on the day of the visit. The letter must indicate the number of students, teachers and accompanying persons taking part in the visit.
For every 10 students a free entrance is granted to on accompanying person: any other additional accompanying person will pay the full price (€ 14,00). For visitors using a wheelchair there is a specific itinerary in the Museums not compatible with the guided tours. Unfortunately, persons using wheelchairs are not authorised to tour the Vatican Gardens on account of difficulties for their safe movement caused by the nature of the pathways. Note that visitors booking only entry tickets are required to pay just the reservation fees (€ 2,00). In both cases payment will be made for the entry tickets on the day of the visit.

Pilgrimages

Tickets for pilgrims desiring a guided tour will be issued when a signed and sealed letter on Parish letterhead is provided by the Parish Priest on the day of the visit. A free entrance is garanted to one accompanying priest by presenting his celebret.
For visitors using a wheelchair there is a specific itinerary in the Museums not compatible with the guided tours. Unfortunately, persons using wheelchairs are not authorised to tour the Vatican Gardens on account of difficulties for their safe movement caused by the nature of the pathways.
Note that visitors booking only entry tickets are required to pay just the reservation fees (€ 4,00). In both cases payment will be made for the entry tickets on the day of the visit.

N.B. The visit of Saint Peter's Basilica can be done according to the liturgical celebrations of the Holy Father or other events of Holy See or the Vatican City State.

Scholars

Academic Teaching Specialists may give special lectures in particular sections of the Museums on subjects within their specialization by presenting a written request to the Direction of the Museums.
The authorization is not valid for a subsequent visit outside those sections.
