Room 12. Studio Azzurro Room

The room houses the large interactive video installation in four parts, produced by Studio Azzurro, In the beginning (and then) inspired by the theme of Creation and conceived in 2013 for the first Holy See Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale. The work entered the Vatican Museums Collection of  Contemporary Art and was introduced into the display itinerary from Autumn 2016. Here visitors are invited to touch with their hands the large screens that compose the work and to interact with the central element positioned on the ground.
In the adjacent area there are two monumental bronze works by the sculptor Mirko Basaldella and Leonard Baskin, and the magnificent stained glass window in brilliant colours produced by Fernand Léger in 1951 for the Église du Sacré-Coeur at Audincourt.
