Room 25. Salvador Dalì and Spain

In this room devoted to Spain, a central position is occupied by Salvador Dalì. Among the works on display, there are three by the Catalan artist, dating from between 1954 and 1977, mature evidence of the continuing metamorphosis to which he subjected his work which ranges with ease among all themes, including those of a religious nature. Next to Dalì, there is a work of formal rigour and attentive to the expressive value of materials typical of the Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida, and a painting by Pedro Cano, representative of Iberian neo-realist painting; active between Italy and Spain, he was capable of rendering topical moments with lucidity and involvement.
