Room 33. Abstraction in the years 1940 - 1970

This room presents the work of a group of artists active in Rome, Venice and Milan from the end of the Forties onwards, protagonists of a phase during which offerings of an abstract and informal nature co-exist with the emergence of new suggestions, from Pop Art to conceptual art. Next to the works by well-known figures such as Giuseppe Capogrossi, Mirko Basaldella, Achille Perilli and Pietro Consagra, there is also an example of the mature work of Bice Lazzari, an isolated artist who revisits the informal with poetically subjective tones.
