Section X. Work, family and society: other inscriptions

The wall, probably arranged with inscriptions acquired at a later date than the original nucleus first exhibited in the Chiaramonti Museum, is an appendix to the walls 27 and 25 (Section VI), 23 (Section VII), and 21, 19, 17 (Section VIII), whose topographic sequence is presented in the tripartite arrangement A-B-C, reported by as the same number of captions, identical or almost identical to the original ones: “Offices (in the Imperial House and private), artists, craftsmen, traders”, “Greek inscriptions of every type” and “Epitaphs of parents and children”. It gathers together inscriptions containing references to professions and trades, documents in Greek, and inscriptions relating to the family environment and in particular parents and children.
