Section XI. Inscriptions with various content: late acquisitions

These two walls, together with the nearby vestibule between the two gates providing access to the Apostolic Palace, were arranged in the museum later than the other walls; in fact, they were the only spaces available in which, during the final phase of the layout of the Gallery in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, it was to possible exhibit inscriptions with varied content acquired in those years or shortly beforehand, that could not be positioned next to other thematically related documents.
