Open doors for the Year of Consecrated Life

3 June 2015 - 30 January 2016
Vatican Museums

As in 2010, on the occasion of the Year for Priests, and in 2013, the Year of Faith, the Directorate of the Vatican Museums will welcome with a significant initiative the Year of Consecrated Life proclaimed by Pope Francis for the year 2015.

Faithful to their unique mission, the Pope's Museums renew their contribution to the life of the Church by offering a special programme of free visits to all women and men religious who come to the Vatican for this special occasion.

A conference on the theme, curated by the Missionary Sisters of the Divine Revelation, will introduce visitors to the spiritual dimension inherent in each work in the precious Vatican collection, demonstrating the continuing bond between Christianity and culture, divine and human.

From the Conference Hall all participants can then independently continue their visit of the museum collections along a special Art and Faith itinerary, with the help of a multilingual audioguide.
