Deactivation of elevator for improvements

February 2017

From 6 to 23 February, visitors with motor disabilities who wish to visit the Galleries of the Candelabra, the Tapestries and the Geographical Maps or the Raphael's Rooms will not be able to use the elevator reserved for the disabled, due to adjustment and upgrading works. The temporary deactivation of the elevator therefore means that the Upper Galleries cannot be accessed by visitors in wheelchairs. The maintenance work forms part of a larger plan to improve the usability and accessibility of museum spaces, to be implemented throughout 2017.
