Due to extraordinary summer maintenance work on the Rome-Albano Laziale and Ciampino-Albano Laziale railways (viceversa), and in order to keep inconvenience to visitors at the minimum possible, on the days of Saturday 4, 11 and 18 August all those interested in the “Vatican by train” visit (departure from the Vatican City and from the Roma San Pietro railway stations destined for the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo) will be able to rely on a dedicated private alternative shuttle service.
