Vatican Museums at the World Travel Market 2011
The participation of the Vatican Museums at the World Travel Market has been confirmed for the second year running: the important European showcase for world tourism is due to be held in London from 7 to 10 November.
The event represents a real opportunity for professionals in the sector to meet together, to update their skills and renew their offer. Seminars, conferences and debates are on the programme.
The WTM will host, on Tuesday 8 November, the summit of delegate ministers of UNWTO (World Tourism Organization) who will debate the development of tourism following the world crisis, as well as the role of emerging markets, the future of tourism in the Middle East and North Africa, and the importance of government action and tourist policies after the crisis. On the following day, under the auspices of the UNWTO, the World Day of Responsible Tourism will be held, during which the sustainable development of tourist destinations will be at the centre of the agenda.
This year too the "Museums of the Pope" will reconfirm with their presence at the WTM their commitment to a policy of hospitality based on professionalism, transparency and the centrality of the human person.
