Guaraní wooden sculptures on display in the Vatican Museums

On 12 September, in the Vatican Museums, a temporary exhibition will be opened to the public, dedicated to wooden sculpture attesting to the Jesuit missionary presence in Uruguay.

The exhibition, entitled "Maderas que hablan guaraní" (Wood that speaks Guaraní) and curated by Luis Bergatta, will be housed in the exhibition spaces at the entrance to the Museums and can be visited until 28 September 2014. It will be the first International itinerant exhibition of Uruguayan archaeology.

The entry ticket for the Vatican Museums includes the visit to the exhibition.
