Vatican Museums at the Turin Book Fair for the first time
The Holy See will be Guest of Honour at the 27th Turin International Book Fair (Lingotto Fiere 8-12 May 2014).
The extraordinary participation of the Holy See at this fair, which celebrates publishing at a worldwide level, will take the form of both an individual stand (an evocative "dome" made up of books), and a programme of cultural and artistic events).
Numerous Vatican institutions are involved in the event, and are coordinated by the Pontifical Council for Culture. Among these, the "Pope's Museums" will participate with the display of marble fragments from the Pius Christian Museum, books with artistic reproductions of the Collection of Contemporary Art, and scientific and educational publications from Edizioni Musei Vaticani.
