It is compulsory to enter with a guide; the Vatican Museums can provide, upon request, a guide service with specialised staff authorised by Vatican City State.
Upon request, the unique visitor experience can be enriched and sealed with a moment of conviviality and sampling: choose between a tempting aperitivo or a delicious apericena, a buffet lasting for up to an hour.
Itinerary of “Out of hours” guided tour – Semi-private: Gallery of the Candelabra, Gallery of the Tapestries, Gallery of the Geographical Maps and the Raphael’s Rooms. The itinerary also includes extraordinary access to some “hidden” museum sectors normally closed to the public, such as the Bramante Staircase, the Cabinet of the Masks and the Niccoline Chapel.
This special tour concludes with an exclusive visit to the Sistine Chapel, where the participants can linger in admiration and contemplation until 06.15 p.m., whereas all the other day’s visitors will have left or will be leaving the sacred place.
