By train to the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo

With the exceptional opening to the public of the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo, the Apostolic Palace too becomes, for the first time in history, accessible and open to visits.
A special train, departing every Saturday from the railway station of St. Peter’s, Rome, will transport visitors to the station of Castel Gandolfo; from there, they will make their own way to the Apostolic Palace in Piazza della Libertà. 

By train to the Apostolic Palace + Barberini Garden by ecological vehicle

A new type of visit that enriches the already exciting option, "By train to the Apostolic Palace" with a tour in the "green heart" of the Pontifical Villas on board a comfortable ecological vehicle. Visitors are guided by a multilingual audioguide and a tour itinerary on an illustrated map.
The option, available only on Saturdays, is intended for individual visitors or groups interested in a collective tour.

No visit to the Castelli Romani can be considered complete without a stop in the picturesque Piazza della Libertà in Castel Gandolfo, where the solemn Apostolic Palace opens its doors for the first time to the wider public of families.
