The exceptional opening to the public in 2014 of the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo (situated 24 kilometres from Rome) has enabled the extension of the cultural proposals offered to individual visitors who wish to discover and get to know better the Vatican’s artistic and natural treasures. Every Saturday, a modern and comfortable electric train connects the historic Vatican City railway station with the Pontifical Villas for a Full Day visit that, starting with the wonders of the Vatican Museums and continuing through the rare botanical wonders of the Vatican Gardens, will lead the visitor to discover the luxuriant Barberini Garden of Castel Gandolfo.

A type of visit that, including the already rich option of the Vatican Full Day, offers in addition a tour of the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo with a multilingual guide.

A special full day by train, from Vatican City State to the Pontifical Villas, guided by an educational guide authorised by Vatican City State.
The proposal is intended for pre-formed groups who want a guided tour through the beauties of the Vatican Museums, the Vatican Gardens and the Barberini Gardens of Castel Gandolfo.
