The Saturday visit to the luxuriant Barberini Garden, in the Popes’ summer residence, offers families not only the chance to walk in magnificent surroundings, but also to spend time together at leisure for a culturally interesting experience.
At around 24 kilometres from Rome, the Garden can be reached by car, train or bus and can be visited on foot (with an obligatory guide), only by prior reservation online.
For those who have only an hour available and would prefer a solution that is more comfortable and attractive to children*, the Vatican Museums propose as an alternative a unique tour of the Barberini Garden on board a fun little ecological vehicle with a dedicated multilingual audioguide.
Take advantage of the Family Tariff for families made up of parents and at least two children (between the ages of 6 and 18 and students up to the age of 25 with relevant documentation).
* The tour is not accessible children under the age of 6.
