Fifth Training Seminar for Teachers
“Architecture and restoration: problems of protection and conservation”, is the title of the Fifth Training Seminar for Teachers, to take place in Rome on the days 10 and 11 November at two prestigious museum institutions, the Vatican Museums and the MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Arts).
The Pope’s Museums, along with ANISA (Associazione Nazionale Insegnanti di Storia dell’Arte – National Association of Art History Teachers), and this year with the special participation of MAXXI, confirm with this important regular educational appointment their commitment to promoting qualified moments of encounter, exchange and updating for a high-level education in Art.
A re-reading of the history of architectural restoration, with its various meanings, will constitute the backbone of the Seminar and, in the individual contributions, once again the focus will be not on the merits of the technical working solutions adopted, but instead on historical and methodological issues, with the intention of offering the public the opportunity for critical reflection.
