Yanggwan ritual crown in lacquered and gilded horsehair, partially covered in silk gauze, decorated at the front with a peony and two phoenixes in flight.
Dating from the late Joseon period (1392-1910), it was worn by kings on occasions such as national feast days, the first day of the new year, the winter solstice or during the proclamation of national edicts.
