Vatican Museums

To mark the upcoming Christmas festivities, and exclusively on Saturday 9, 16 and 23 December, the Vatican Museums confirm that the special guided tour to discover the Nativity in Art will be offered again in 2023.
A journey in time and space, through the papal collections, to admire what Pope Francis describes as the “enchanting image of the Christmas crèche”.

Tourists, pilgrims and families will be able to reread the Gospels of the Nativity in the presence of the masterpieces housed in the Pio Cristiano Museum and in the Vatican Pinacoteca, concluding in the Sistine Chapel where they can admire Michelangelo’s frescoes in wonderment.

A visit and experience open to all, including families with children (recommended age 6 and over).
The guided tours – conducted in Italian or English – are entirely accessible to those with sensory, motor and learning disabilities (dedicated booking at education.musei@scv.va).
