Technical and scientific agreement with Osram and Carrier
The Vatican Museums have signed a collaboration agreement with Osram and Carrier, leaders in the firld of lighting and climate control technologies. The partnership will involve important initiatives for conserving and enhancing the value of the Vatican's artistic heritage and for collaboration in research and the development of solutions at a high technological level.
An ambitious project to give "new breath" and "new light" to the Sistine Chapel will be the figurehead of this new collaboration. Indeed, Michelangelo's masterpiece will shortly be equipped with a new LED lighting system and a new generation air-conditioning system.
