Sector A. Inscriptions from the city of Falerii Novi

This sector includes the inscriptions found in the new Falerii, a Roman city situated in Latium near Fàlleri, Fabrica di Roma (province of Viterbo), built after 241 B.C. following the destruction by the Romans themselves of the ancient Faliscan city (now known as Falerii Veteres), located at the site of present-day Civita Castellana. The texts document the administrative and religious organisation of the city, the names and careers of members of the ruling class, relations with the central government of Rome, worship of the emperor, public building works (construction and restoration), and tombs.
