Sharing Hope. Horizons for Cultural Heritage” is the title of the international Conference to be held on Saturday 15 February at the Vatican Museums, in the context of the cultural initiatives promoted for the Jubilee of Artists and the World of Culture, to be celebrated in Rome from 16 to 18 February 2025.

The event, jointly organized by the Holy See Dicastery for Culture and Education and the Vatican City State Governorate – Directorate of the Museums and Cultural Heritage, will bring together- in the presence of Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery, and Barbara Jatta, Director of the Vatican Museums – the most diverse “preachers of Beauty”, to use an expression dear to Pope Francis: from the representatives of the most prestigious Italian an international museums to the most distinguished institutional figures from the world of art and culture, from renowned artists and scholars to authoritative associations of gallery owners and antiques professionals.

“In response to the Pontiff’s call to seize in the Jubilee an opportunity for spiritual renewal and encounter, and well aware of the entirely unique responsibility entrusted to them”, remarks Professor Jatta, “the Pope’s Museums will not fail to give their contribution to this extraordinary event of the Christian tradition, offering - albeit within the specifics of their identity - a moment of reflection and broad discussion in the name of sharing the beauty of the arts, a privileged witness of faith”.
