To mark the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Castel Gandolfo Museum Complex will celebrate and honour all their female visitors with a promotional entry fee of 8.00 Euros. The special offer is extended to all women, and is valid for the entire weekend on the dates Friday 8, Saturday 9 (09.00 a.m. – 05.30 p.m., last entry at 04.00 p.m.) and Sunday 10 March 2024 (10.00 a.m. – 06.30 p.m., last entry at 05.00 p.m.).

Visitors will be able to walk through and admire (independently or with a guide) the solemn rooms of the Papal Palace with its Historical Collections, the Papal Apartment and the new museum spaces recently inaugurated by the historical-documentary exhibition "Castel Gandolfo 1944".

In the context of this special occasion, the exhibition acquires special symbolic value due also to the intense and emotional testimonies from women, in audio and video, and the many photographs depicting mothers, nuns, little girls and newborns on the occasion of their exceptional stay in the Pontifical Villas during the second world war.
At the end of the tour, and making the most of the fine weather, visitors will be able to continue their itinerary in the Garden of the Moor and the Secret Garden, with the enchanting panoramic view of Lake Albano.
