World Day of Tourism
On the occasion of the forthcoming World Day of Tourism that will be celebrated on 27 September, the Vatican Museums will grant free admission into the Museums and Sistine Chapel during the normal opening times (09.00 a.m. - 06.00 p.m. last admission at 04.00 p.m.). The World Day for Tourism (WTD) is celebrated worldwide every 27 September. This date was chosen to coincide with the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation Statutes on 27 September 1970.
The theme of the 2010 World Tourism Day will be "Tourism and Biodiversity".
