On Thursday 7 July, with the summer break now close, the Vatican Museums are devoting the final appointment of this season of Thursdays in the Museums to the presentation of a new title to be published by Edizioni Musei Vaticani: "Materiali dal Vicino Oriente Antico" (Materials from the Ancient Near East), edited by Alessia Amenta, Mario Cappozzo, respectively Curator and Assistant of the Department of Egyptian Antiquities of the Vatican Museums, and Candida Felli, archaeologist and art historian of the Ancient Near East at the University of Florence.

The new publication - the second volume of the series dedicated to the collection of the Pontifical Biblical Institute - will be introduced by the Director of the Vatican Museums, Barbara Jatta. Interventions by the editors of the book and the concluding report by Noemi Borrelli, lecturer at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, will then follow.
