Vatican Museums

Edizioni Musei Vaticani has published "Raffaello in Vaticano. Atti del Convegno per il V centenario della morte" (Raphael in the Vatican. Proceedings of the Conference for the Fifth Centenary of his death), an impressive volume edited by Barbara Jatta and Vittoria Cimino, a collection of the proceedings of the celebratory conference held at the Vatican Museums in September 2021 on the occasion of the fifth centenary of the death of the master from Urbino.

Although some time has elapsed since the international event that brought together the leading experts on the Divin Pittore, the Vatican Museums wish to pay special attention to the publication of this new book by dedicating a presentation to it, on Thursday 14 December, in that very room of the Vatican Art Gallery, the Raphael Hall, which for three days hosted the important gathering.

The meeting will also constitute a valuable opportunity to honour the memory of those curators, scholars, restorers and specialists who have recently passed away, such as the late beloved Guido Cornini, to whose memory the scientific community movingly dedicates this volume.
